A little more expensive than some of the other rental options but totally worth it. The boats are clean and sturdy, really lovely. They are well-maintained and easy to operate. The process of starting and ending the trip is super easy, either using the link provided via SMS or, in our case, having the people at the dock get the boat started for you. It's a lovely way to spend a day on the canals of Amsterdam, even for those of us who live here.

what's better than renting a boat in Amsterdam and drifting along the canals! We grabbed bottles of wine and snacks for our two hour tour. The weather was amazing! Bring a cooler and book for a longer time. its an amazing experience

The main appeal of these boats for me is that they are powerful enough to slow down on time if another boat gets in the way, unlike the Mokumboot ones that are severely limited and would not slow down.
Do keep in mind that the boat is steered with a tiller (a wooden handle/stick) instead of a steering wheel. It has to be moved opposite to the direction you want to go (i.e.: move the tiller to the left if you want to steer right), so you'll need a captain with a decent sense of direction.
Another thing to consider is that the boats are advertised as having room for 12 people.
That is only true if you give up the "table" in the middle and use it as 2 extra seats (which of course means you're left with nowhere to set food / drinks), plus the captain will need one seat free next to them to be able to steer the boat (so either you give up one more seat or the person to the left of the captain needs to make room every time steering to the right is needed). In practice this means only 9 people fit perfectly comfortably, and every person added after that means giving some sort of comfort up.
Lastly, please do remember to take a plastic bag for your waste and help keep our city clean ❤️

This a great place to rent a private boat for an affordable price. The boats are simple, yet cute, also easy to control. Staff is friendly and helpful. You can rent a boat for 1/2/3 hours and the staff will offer you what routes are best to take to get beautiful Amsterdam views. All in all, wonderful experience!
